His favourite thing about Scouting is getting to play outdoors on a regular basis!!
Beaver/Cub Scout Leader
Donald has been a Scouter pretty much all his life and swears by its values. Currently helping as the Warranted Leader for the Beaver Section whilst still assisting with the Cubs and the Scouts, he is known as the noisy one (and the groups lead singer)!
A qualified Archery Instructor and a mad keen “Birder”, Donald is our resident expert in our feathered friends and his love of nature is infectious.
Donald has a two sons, one in Beavers and the other in the Cubs.
Cub Scout Leader
Tony is the warranted leader for the cub section after assisting with the scouts since 2005. Prior to this he was both a scout and venture scout in Bellshill and wanted an opportunity to give something back to the movement following a 15yr sabbatical.
Tony has a son in the cub section and wants him to enjoy the same great experiences and friendships his dad enjoyed when he was growing up in the scouts.
Cub Scout Leader
Scott has joined us as one of the warranted leaders in the Cubs section. He had previously been a Beaver Leader in the 67th Glasgow troop for 8 years and prior to that was both Scout and Cub Leader in the 124th Glasgow, which he had joined as a Beaver.
Scott has three boys in the Scouts and one in the cubs.

However, in a previous incarnation he spent 14 years in HM Forces as a Weapons Artificer, serving with many army units including 1 WFR, 2 LI, 2 RTR, The Black Watch, 4 ADTR, 7 Armd Wksp, 1 KOSB and 3 RHA. A former Scout Patrol Leader and adult helper with a Scout Troop in Fallingbostel (Germany), he is returning to his scouting roots. He has also attained Orienteering, Mountain Leadership and Top Rope / Abseiling experience in the Military and he used to run Mountain Marathons (18 years and three stones ago). He is also a keen hill walker and a volunteer worker at DogsTrust, Glasgow.
Explorer Scout mascot
Ben is a six year old Golden Retriever who was rehomed from DogsTrust Glasgow in May 2010. A big soppy mutt with a slight weight problem. The mind is willing (if food is available) but the body is weak (falls asleep after a one mile walk). His ambition is to regain some of his youthful vigor by attending meetings on a regular basis as the Unit Mascot.
