who we are and what we do

2nd Bothwell Scouts

Forest School

Forest School is now well and truly underway as the Scouts work towards their Survival badge and get in some training in preparation for SAS – Are you tough enough? in September, our Camp to be held at a secret location.

We are using the same site for Forest School as we have in previous years and this time we are focussing on the preparations for our September camp whilst working through the elements of our Survival Skills badge.

Already the Scouts personal survival kits are taking shape with them having covered the skills of shelter building and fire lighting.

Camouflage games practicing sniper skills of trying to approach the camp without being seen or caught by “the enemy” have shown them the need for good field craft skills, cunning and agility.

Patrol points have been awarded for tasks so if you have missed a week then YOUR PATROL NEEDS YOU!
